A Nigerian woman suspected of stealing gold jewelry from a shop and attempting to flee has been apprehended.

She is charged with stealing jewelry valued at N1.5 million, swallowing it, and preparing to leave the store because she couldn’t find anything she liked.

The owners and employees of the shop caught her on camera and shamed her in front of the camera.

In a video that has gone viral on the internet, the suspect urged the shop owner to remove her face from the camera.

The shoplifter did not want her identity to be made public by them on social media because she was terrified of being embarrassed.
