Kwasi Kyei Darkwah (KKD), a broadcast journalist, says he is unfazed by numerous death threats from elements within the incumbent government for “exposing” them to various misdeeds.

Following his recent outburst on GTV and Onua TV about Nana Akufo Addo’s and his cronies’ corruptible tendencies, the eloquent and accomplished media guru stated that he is not afraid to die for standing up for the truth on behalf of all Ghanaians.

When asked if he was afraid for his life on JoyNews’ AM Show, KKD replied, “No.”

“I’ve had far too much fun in my life.” I’ve had happiness and the lower form of joy, which is a pleasure. I’ve had a lot of it.

“I have eaten in places where some political office people are now seeking to dine in. What have I got to lose? ” “Yes,” he said obstinately.

Recall that in the first in the series of KKD’s exposés, he revealed how the government constantly employs the services of a co-founded by the Finance Minister – Data Bank Financial Services – as advisors for some of Ghana’s international loan transactions.

However, in a swift rebuttal, the Ministry of Finance has dismissed the claims that Databank and Black Star Brokerage were handpicked by the Finance Ministry and the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to act as bond market specialists for government bond issuance, hence benefiting from those transactions.

In a statement, the Ministry said it is incorrect to claim that these two firms have been appointed advisors to the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

“The selection of the Primary Dealers [PDs] and Bond Market Specialists [BMSs] is an automatic process based on market performance and historical secondary market trading activity which is publicly available and cannot be manipulated by the Ministry of Finance [MoF] or the Bank of Ghana.”
