Bright Mawuena claims that he punished his eight-year-old daughter for breaking a neighbor’s phone by immersing her left hand in boiling water until her fingers were burned and damaged.

The father admitted to inflicting the injury on the child when questioned by the local pastor, Bishop Jordan K. Owiredu of the Redeemed Family Chapel International.

Bishop Owiredu told ClassFMonline.com that he overheard several angry neighbors questioning the man about the event this morning (Friday, 23 September 2022). He had gone to inspect his construction site nearby.
A few of them were heard criticizing the father and demanding that he be arrested before killing his own daughter.
Bishop Owiredu was so outraged by the act that he personally escorted the man to the Dodowa police station to file a report.

On the way to the police station, the father told the pastor that he had disciplined his daughter in this manner because he was tired of nagging her not to steal or touch other people’s property.
