
The Controller and Accountant General’s Department has withheld some public sector employees’ paychecks for September 2022. (CAGD).
According to the CAGD, this decision was made because the payroll system did not match the identities of the impacted government employees’ banks.

Employees whose bank account information is incorrect are also affected.
On October 3, the CAGD issued a statement explaining the decision to postpone salary payments until “quality assurance and other validation procedures” are completed.
Employees whose bank names differed from those on file were instructed to bring official documentation proving their presence at the post and visit the payroll coordination section of CAGD in Block A, Room 32.

An appointment letter, current posting letter, national ID card, the previous three months’ pay stubs, and a voided check booklet are all required documents.
Employees must notify their payroll processing systems if their bank account number is incorrect (PPSs).
According to media reports, some of those affected are public sector employees.
