
Nicholas, a 35-year-old educator who voted for and campaigned for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the party that went on to win the 2020 presidential election, claims his political activity has put him in danger.
He blames his NPP campaign for making people believe he is responsible for their current financial problems.
Nicholas wears a nose mask and a hat whenever he leaves the house in case he is followed and assaulted.
“My greatest issue is the danger,” he said in an interview with TV3’s Armstrong Alogbor. When I go out in public, I have to cover my face with a nose mask and, on occasion, a cap.

“Sometimes, I will be in the room, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday without going out because I am afraid if I step out I don’t know what will happen to me. The moment they see you they are angry and they want to beat you because you are part of the reasons why they are suffering. Sometimes they will call you and threaten you.
“Sometimes my wife will [tell] me when [I] am going and [I] have the money I should take Uber and go out.”
He further indicated that he was paid ¢300for the billboard advert he did for the party.
“I was paid ¢300 for that billboard,” he said.
