Evangelist Diana Asamoah, a Ghanaian gospel diva, and NPP supporter has expressed her dissatisfaction with the country’s economic situation.
Remember that Diana Asamoah was among the influential people who aggressively campaigned for Nana Addo to be elected president in both 2016 and 2020.
However, given current inflation and the dollar-to-cedi rate, only the devil will continue to defend the Nana Addo NPP-led administration’s serial incompetence.
My 2 election victories were testimonies of God’s love for me – Akufo-Addo
Speaking on Rainbow radio, the gospel singer pleaded with all Ghanaians to fervently pray to God to deliver us from the deep mess Nana Addo has pushed us into, saying that it will only take divine intervention to get us back on track.
Diana Asamoah also chastised the evil and greedy businessmen who deliberately hoard dollars and other food items to create scarcity and then sell them at exorbitant prices.
She cursed and insulted them for putting their interests ahead of the many poor Ghanaians who struggle to make ends meet.
Meanwhile, some members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in parliament have called for the dismissal of Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and Finance Deputy Minister Charles Adu Boahen.
In a statement to the press, Andy Kwame Appiah-Kubi, Member of Parliament for Asante-Akim North Constituency, expressed disappointment in the way the Finance Minister is handling the country’s current economic situation.
