Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has urged Ghanaians to put their faith in his competence and ability to rescue the country’s ailing economy.
Mr. Ofori-Atta has been under intense pressure from New Patriotic Party (NPP) legislators and Ghanaians, in general, to resign for mismanaging the economy.
However, Ken Ofori-Atta, speaking at a meeting with the Association of Ghana Industries, stated that Ghana remains the best place to do business.
“Let me assure you that you have a Finance Minister who has been through all the pains and aches, and nobody can really say we don’t know what we’re doing.” The question is, “What resources do we have, and how are we going to deploy them in the nation that we have, and how do we stand firm while remaining confident in very difficult circumstances?”
“Let me assure you all that Ghana is still your best bet; we can and should do it,” the embattled Finance Minister said.
