Patrick Osei Agyemang, aka Countryman Songo, has slammed the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for appointing Otto Addo as the Black Stars’ head coach.
Otto Addo was a talent coach at Borussia Dortmund before being named Black Stars coach.
Countryman Songo believes Otto Addo should not be the coach of the Black Stars.
“This isn’t the best, but he’s already made his choice… When you talk, they won’t listen, but when the time comes, they’re ready to talk, fire, or speak their minds.” We’ve seen how poorly the Black Stars perform. The Black Stars have not improved; their soccer performance has not progressed.
“First and foremost, the person doing the selection is a trainer scout.” He lacks coaching experience. Have you ever heard of him coaching a team? Ghana employs a trainer scout in the twenty-first century.
“Someone who has never coached a team before, even if he is under 17, Division or third, or even colts football.” Anyone who claims to have coached in the past should show me the team he coached, and I will remain silent. “Fire burn you all!” he yelled.
The popular sports presenter’s emotions erupted as he saw Otto Addo’s selection as absurd.
“How can such a coach, a trainer scout, be coaching Black Stars?”, he asked while speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show and asserted, “it’s very bad. It’s just to serve the interest of the so-called football people. This is why they never forced for an experienced coach”.
