According to Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo, God did not create women to care for themselves. He made the statement on Twitter, where many Nigerians agreed and disagreed with him.
“Women were not created to take care of themselves,” the pastor tweeted.
“However, provision for a woman is not limited to financial and material provision,” he added.
His tweet sparked a debate, with some men outraged and some women supporting it.

Martha, the pregnant woman who received negative attention on social media last week, reportedly committed suicide as a result of the criticism.
According to the sad report, Martha died as a result of the response in her native Zambia after her disgruntled husband recorded the incident and posted it online. The story has been covered by several Zambian news outlets.
When Martha was pregnant, she allegedly made inappropriate contact with another man, and her husband caught her. While some have claimed that Martha’s unnamed lover is her pastor, no Zambian news reports have been able to confirm whether or not those claims are true.
Martha allegedly told her husband that she was going to see her family somewhere (Kitwe), but she apparently had other plans.
When Martha’s husband returned home, he learned about the incident. There are no additional details about what occurred. Some offensive content has recently been shared on social media.
However, explicit content is restricted on platforms such as Twitter and Instagram. Many people have criticized the spouse for disclosing this information because it was a private matter, claiming that it should have been handled in a private setting instead.
