After Brazil defeated South Korea 4-1 in Qatar yesterday, social media users penned songs of praise for Black Stars captain Dede Ayew.
Ghana’s misfortune in the last football match with the Uruguayan football team appears to have turned into a blessing for Ghana.
During the football match, Ghana had its first penalty in the 2022 FIFA World Cup against Uruguay. However, Dede Ayew missed the penalty, causing a social media uproar. Many Ghanaians chastised Dede Ayew for missing the penalty, which led to the team’s defeat.
However, the story has changed as many Ghanaians have praised Dede Ayew on Twitter after Brazil humiliated South Korea in their sixteenth game of the ongoing Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Brazil had scored four goals by halftime, and on Twitter, fans appeared to speculate that Ghana’s Black Stars, who would have faced Brazil had the team advanced from the group stage, would have been on the receiving end. As a result, they were relieved that the team had been eliminated from the tournament.
