Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the newly elected National Chairman of the opposition NDC, says he values his friendship with defeated chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.

According to Asiedu Nketiah, he will not throw away a 25-year friendship with Samuel Ofosu Ampofo because of a contest in which he was able to oust his friend.
During the 10th National Delegates Congress, Asiedu Nketiah got 5,569 votes, which was 65.1% of the total, while Samuel Ofosu Ampofo secured 2,892 votes.

Speaking to the delegates following his victory, Aseidu Nketiah assured them that his friendship with Samuel Ofosu Ampofo would not be jeopardized and pledged to protect it.
