Stop saying ‘God gives, God takes’, Christian Atsu wasn’t supposed to d!e – Majid Michel

When Christians suffer a loss, the phrase “God giveth, God taketh” is frequently used. Similar sentiments have been expressed regarding Ghanaian player Christian Atsu’s life and death.

However, an irritated Majid Michel has urged others who have resorted to making such proclamations, particularly Christians, to stop. The actor claims that the term has no place in this context and that Christian Atsu died far too young.

“I don’t believe in the adage that “you never know what will happen tomorrow; God gives and God takes.” That is not true! Majid stated. “That statement was made by Job. Job uttered the phrase “God gives and God takes” in anguish! It was Job’s words, and we’ve turned them into doctrine. “It’s not true.”

“God does not give or take anything. It’s a sham. Atsu wasn’t supposed to die. Atsu’s death was untimely; he was not supposed to die. “God didn’t take Atsu nowhere,” he explained to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz.

Following the shocking news of the Black Stars winger’s death, many have wondered why such a good life had been cut short.

Meanwhile, Christian Atsu’s mortal remains, which arrived in the country on Sunday, February 19, 2023, are being held at the 37 Military Mortuary in preparation for burial.
