According to the Police Administration, key suspects in the murder of Sheriff Imoro, a soldier at Ashaiman, have been apprehended.
The suspects were apprehended as part of a sustained intelligence-led operation, according to a police release issued on Friday.

“After a week of a sustained intelligence-led operation, the Police have arrested the key suspects involved in the murder of Imoro Sherrif, the soldier who was found dead at Taifa Ashiaman on March 4th, 2023,” according to the release.
It should be remembered that a young soldier was murdered at Ashaiman Taifa on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
His death, however, infuriated the military, and as a result, in the early hours of Tuesday, March 7, some military personnel invaded Ashaiman and brutalized some residents in search of their colleague’s murderers.
They also detained some of the residents for questioning. As of Friday, the majority of them had been released.
The local MP then condemned the military men’s actions.
Although the soldier’s murder was heinous, he believes that “we cannot take the laws into our own hands, whether we are lawmakers or security agencies.”
