Nana Ama McBrown’s departure from Despite Media to join Media General a fortnight ago appears to be one of the biggest and most contentious media poachings in Ghanaian history.
Following the unexpectedly costly move, a number of Ghanaians and former colleagues, including Kwame Nkrumah Tikese, Michael Ola, and Abena Moet, chastised her as ungrateful and passed innuendos on live radio.

This came after she was officially introduced as the new addition to Onua TV on Monday, March 13, 2023, after leaving UTV without giving her employers prior notice.
Following the uproar, new rumors are circulating that Onua is planning to steal another top presenter from Despite Media, in addition to Nana Ama McBrown.
Personality in the media In a Facebook post, Captain Smart of Onua TV hinted at the impending massive media transfer between Media General and Despite Media.
